Hi! I’m Alice, a researcher and maker from Bristol, UK, developing body-centric technologies that foster connection, care, and joy in people's relationships to their bodies.

I am currently doing a postdoctoral fellowship at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, where I am excited to be working with Kia Höök and Iolanda Leite.

My work is practice-based and collaborative, grounded in first-person and participatory methods, and oriented toward a future in which our technologies move us to greater curiosity, comfort, and connection with our bodies rather than away from them. I bring together expertise in soft robotics, haptics, e-textiles and smart materials with critical design perspectives to shape how future technologies will touch, hold, and even become part of our bodies.

This website shows selected projects from my current position, and from my postdoctoral research in the HCI Lab at Saarland University, Germany, and my PhD in Affective Haptics the Bristol Robotics Laboratory and University of Bristol.
