Luckwell Town puppet show

At Luckwell primary school in Bristol they have an annual week called Luckwell Town where the kids get to earn `money' learning a skill or craft during the week leading up to a final day where they get to sell and buy their wares from each other. This can be anything from making games to learning hairdressing skills (no scissors involved!).

We led one of the classes for the week to create robotic puppets that the students could sell or perform with at the end of the week. We designed and built some lasercut mdf holders for the puppets which also held servo motors controlled by a simple plug-in dial. Arms, legs and embellishments could be added to the puppet and attached to the servo motors with string to provide control.
